Good suspense

"I suppose control is an illusion." Kimberly Rose Johnson packs in a whole lot of suspense, action, and twists and turns of the plot within the pages of this book. It starts out with a bang (literally) and Frank's neighbor and friend Katrina is on the run for her life. There are plenty of dead ends that will have you scratching your head and trying to guess at the identity of the villain. I really liked Frank's stoic, steadfast, loyal heart and Katrina's fun, loving, grateful spirit. The plot was quite interesting and the ending surprising. Frank's faith came across as genuine and provided a deeper layer to his personality. Seeing Carissa and Marc again was delightful but Katrina and Frank's relationship was underwhelming... but perhaps it was meant to be that way? Perhaps the next book in the series will fill in the gaps? I received a copy of the book from the publisher/author via Celebrate Lit Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive review.
