Is Summer truly Scandalous?

Cause for Scandal is the 3rd book in the 12 month Elliott Series. I enjoy series and the fact that several authors take turns writing one of the books for each month. I recently read and reviewed Brenda Jackson's 2nd book in the Elliott series also. In "Cause for Scandal," Summer Elliott, the twin sister to Scarlet Elliott, has her story. Summer and Scarlet have lost both their parents in an accident and have been raised by their strict and tyrant of a grandfather, Patrick Elliott. However, their lovely and kind grandmother, Maeuve Elliott, has been able to make the years palatable because only Maeuve can sway Patrick and turn him into a docile puppy. Summer works for one of the four family-owned newspapers and is trying to land a cover story about Rock Star Zeke Woodlow. However, Summer had no idea what the story would cost or just where she would land. The night of the concert brings on a revelation to Summer that will certainly change her life, her sister's life, and Summer's newly fiance's life as well. On the bright side, that change will eventually be seen as a change for the better. Is it scandalous to find true love? Some will look at it as if it is when finding true love means you cheat on your fiance', who you have decided to not have a sexual relationship with until you are married, which all fits into your five year plan. However, on the very first night you meet the rock star, something snaps or maybe a rocket goes off inside of you and you wind up not only in his hotel room, but in his bed! Oh, the fireworks does not end there. You, being who you are, admits to going to bed with the rocker on your first meeting and you tell this to your fiance' and your twin sister! Oh well, what the heck! The twin is shocked, but will this give Scarlet the opportunity to make her fantasy come true? The Good Twin Rebels!

This book is about Summer - she is the good, rational twin who does everything right and is right on track in her five year plan - she's engaged to be married & if she lands an interview with a well-known rock star, she'll earn the right to be a reporter for her family's magazine. Summer's twin Scarlet is the opposite of her - she's kind of wild and free and seems to go with the flow. Well....Summer lands her interview with the rock star, but she also lands in bed with him & loses her virginity while still engaged to her fiance! Needless to say, her life is veering way off the track of her five year plan, but she is surprised by how much she actually enjoys living in the moment.....this is a good book - enjoy!
