A must-have for all Catwoman fans!

This book is a great tribute to Catwoman, and it's just as stylish as she is! Readers will love the purple vinyl cover and will ooh and ahh over the hundreds of color photos. There is information on Catwoman from all the various phases of her life, including comic book, movie, and television appearances. The book contains a small amount of history on Catwoman, but it's not very in-depth. This is supposed to be a fun pictorial tribute to everyone's favorite feline fatale, and that's exactly what it is.

"Scratches" the surface

A great-looking, fun book. Not much text, a quick read. Similar format to the "Complete History" compilations of Batman and Superman, but less material. Call it "Complete History Lite".

Purrrrfect!

I have been a Catwoman (or "Catty" to her friends) fan since FOREVER! It was a wonderful surprise to see that she FINALLY got some recognition for her impact on comics and her illustrious career as comic's "felonious feline." I thank my special comic vendor for the special copy of this fine collectible! Her costume alone has been the epitome of feminimity and the deelite of adolescent males (and females?) everywhere for many generations. There hasn't been as much marketing and memorabilia for Catwoman over the years. Less popular female comic characters seemed to have garnered more (much to my chargrin), but Catty has managed to hold her own throughout the ages. Hopefully the upcoming "Catwoman" movie starring the spectacular Halle Berry will change this. This book has been fun to read and a great tribute to a woman who has never taken life seriously and herself even less. It's this reason why she's immortally fabulously fierce and a world famous FELINE FATALE.... MeOw! >^o.-^<

Entertaining read for casual and die-hard fans

I was very excited to discover this book at a local bookstore. Finally, something comprehensive on Catwoman! The book itself is interesting to look at with it's journal-style covers and scrapbook-like format (very thick card-like pages). The book is a very light read, touching upon the various aspects of the Catwoman character (comic and live-action) like origins, history, actresses playing the role, costumes, and the relationship to Batman. The artwork is what I particularly enjoyed as it featured photographs of the live-action Catwoman, as well as samples of vintage Catwoman comics and the animated-style Catwoman. The writing is reminiscent of something flirty and light-hearted like articles in Cosmo or Glamour. Although the cutesy writing got annoying at times, I think it's a good buy for the money--especially for those who want to see how Catwoman has evolved over the years.

Meeee-WOW!

I've been a fan of Catwoman ever since I saw Michelle Pfeiffer shimmy into that skin-tight leather catsuit, but I had no idea she had such a long (and strange) career. This book is loaded with wonderful images of all the different versions of Catwoman from the Batman comics to the TV show to the movies. Best of all is that book is really funny. The author clearly loves Catwoman but isn't above poking a little fun at the character. It's just a little bit (I have to say it) catty. Very cool purple cover too.
