Laughed so much I had tears in my eyes

What a great wonderful pair Beth Hilgartner has invented for this title. Fluffy and PKP are quite the epitomy of cats and any catlover can relate to their actions and actually wonder while giving their furkids an extra look or two.When their two-feet companions are forced to return to work due to money problems PKP & Fluffy decide they aren't getting the treatment they had signed up for in this household. Dana, a writer & Colin a musician still care for them, they just aren't around enough to answer to all their whims. After watching Dana show Colin how to operate the laptop, Fluffy who has been watching every move decides it would be a great diversion. That's where the "Master Plan" gets it's start.The two begin trading in the stock market and then in futures with some hillarious results. The team keeps going and going and they take you right along on their adventures as they try to never get caught with their paws on the trackball.Would be a delightful read for young teens or as a read-aloud book to younger children.

Smart & Funny - a must read book

Cats in Cyberspace is a gem. And I don't even care for cats. In much the same way as Harry Potter, this book tackles improbable events in a manner that makes them seem completely commonplace, and does so with grace and humor. The wordplay is extraordinary and avid National Public Radio fans will pick up several inside jokes that make it an even better read. I picked this book up at the bookstore entirely by accident. I started reading it right there and then, and finished it a couple days later. Gave it to another friend who basically read it straight through was well. While short, the book is equally capable of being read by adults or sophisticated teens. 5 enthusiastic stars!

Cats in Cyberspace

I'm not a catperson and I don't trade online, but I found the book delightful. I'd put off reading it, while trying to finish something else, but after about the tenth time that my 12 year old said, "Mom you should read this, it's really funny," while chortling away, I finally gave in. He was right. The book is charming and at times hilarious. Much as I hate to admit it, not only does Beth Hilgartner understand cats, she has a pretty good handle on dogs too! Now if only I could get some cats like hers... I could use a little more dough!

Great fun, and a must for cat-lovers >^..^<

The premise may sound silly, but this book is great fun, and the premise is cleverly carried throughout. Hannah (aka PKP, for Princess Killer Pinknose) and Sarah (aka Pudge, though she hates being called that; also aka Fluffy) are two felines who remember the good old days when their Two-Feets, Dana and Colin, had more time to spend at home with them. Alas, Dana and Colin are both struggling artists (she a writer, he a musician), and had to get real jobs to make ends meet.Fluffy and PKP realize that it's in their feline best interests to ensure that Dana and Colin are financially secure. When Dana brings home a laptop and explains the Internet and the Web to technophobe Colin, Fluffy listens in and an idea is born.There's no need to go into more plot detail; suffice it to say that even though this may sound silly, the author nails cat behavior (Solar Meditation and Power Napping) and (equally as fun) cat-owner behavior (asking your cat questions and then answering for them -- Fluffy wonders how Dana gets so close to inner cat thoughts!). This is an adorable, clever, feel-good story that it also a very quick read. Highly recommended. >^..^<

Beware, the author may be a cat in disguise

I saw the book, and took a look at it because it was published by Meisha Merlin, a publisher with high standards. I thumbed through several sections at random, and every place I dipped into grabbed me. I read the whole book that night, and was very impressed. The author spoke so clearly in the voice of the two main characters who were cats that she made me start looking at my cats very closely, even editing my words to my cats. I do not know about on-line trading, which is what the cats got involved in, but her descriptions made the transactions sound real and possible. This book is very well written and should be read by every feline-phile out there.
