Will Funk is a multidisciplinary designer, artist, musician, and poet still finding a way to get by. Written and refined over the course of 11 years (2012-2023), Carving a Path chronicles the author's decade spent forging a life and creative career through New York City-honing professional design skills, experiencing failure and traumatic events, coping with cognitive disorders, finding joy in artistic outlets, and persevering through jobs and side hustles, all while navigating relationships, change, and the evolution into early adulthood. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Will holds a B.S. in Communications from Boston University. An entrepreneur at heart, he is a proud member of the Techstars network, and his design articles have been featured in UX Planet and Insights and Observations. He is also an active member of Brooklyn Poets, sharing and reading poems for the collective on multiple occasions.
