At Last!

This book gives Carolyn Kizer some very long-deserved attention. It is a great introduction to her poetry (now all in her new book Cool, Calm, and Collected.) The essays are excellent and highlight many key aspects of her poetry, from feminism and her Chinese translations to her sense of humor. There is also a wonderful selection of poems in her honor by Creeley, Clifton, Kumin, and others. And the interviews are a blast. What a woman!
