Captain Skully Sets Sail

By Blaine Parks

Every great adventure begins with a dream.

Long before he became the legendary Captain Skully, he was a young boy named Jack Marlowe who dreamed of following in his fathers footsteps and becoming a sea captain

.

With the love and encouragement of his family, Jack learns to sail, works hard to master the ways of the sea, and eventually begins a life of adventure all his own. Along the way, he discovers that becoming a great captain takes more than knowing how to steer a ship.

It takes courage to face the unknown, determination to follow your dreams, and kindness to help others along the way.

As Jack grows from a young dreamer into an experienced captain, his adventures lead him toward an unexpected destiny and the beginning of a legend.

Captain Skully Sets Sail is the origin story of Captain Skully and the beginning of the adventures that will eventually bring together Captain Skully, his Skullywag Crew, and the Bag O Bones.

Filled with colorful illustrations, adventure, heart, and positive messages for young readers, Captain Skully Sets Sail encourages children to dream big, work hard, believe in themselves, help others, and have the courage to follow their own course.

Before there was Captain Skully, there was Jack Marlowe.

And every legend has a beginning.

Adventure. Courage. Kindness.
