Taking advantage of the gap in publishing Myron Fass seized on the unused Captain Marvel name to create their own hero with that name. Marvel won the rights to the name from DC who had purchased the Fawcett properties. It has been surmised that Marvel may have had to buy out Fass from using the name since they snagged it at an opportune time.The comic reprints from are reproduced from actual classic comics, and sometimes reflect the imperfection of books that are decades old
