This work speaks the truth about relationships for the single parent and single woman who wants to be in one. It is an excellent resource about the way people think and feels, and the society in which we live. People aren't getting married as much as they used to or staying married as long as they used to. There are more single moms raising children and as the head of household than ever before. The truth is I don't believe every woman who is single wants to be. The one measure of undeniability is that while our reality may be whatever we want or need it to be, THE ultimate TRUTH is always somewhere in the middle of where things are in our minds, and where we hope they can be from our spirits. I wrote this book because I was tired of being single. I could not figure out what, if anything, I was missing or doing wrong. I learned that it wasn't what I was doing wrong as much as it was my 'thinking' wrong. My interviews and discussions with men shed light on my pre-conceived notions, as well as my mindset about relationships which I formed from society's definition of what they should look like, feel like and be. It was a little disheartening to discover that some of my conditioning was, in fact, more of a hindrance to my being a suitable mate for someone rather than an asset. I am grateful that I had both the opportunity and the experience of engaging in a revealing dialogue with men about their thoughts, feelings, and approaches to their different types of relationships. No one man could ever speak for a generation of men and their behavior; as no one woman's opinion could ever constitute the basis for an entire breed of independent women's temperament. However, what one voice, one belief, and one intention can do is raise the consciousness of many by reaching one person through an aha moment and allowing the domino effect take its course.
