Call Me a Youth Corper

By David Danfulani

ASJUWAYA AHJUWAYA Larepfen Elizabeth Nanle is a Youth Corper deployed to Imo state for her NYSC. In an effort to get preferential posting to a great PPA she breaks an NYSC camp regulation and so faces a trial by the camp court. As if her life is not complicated enough, she finds out that she has fallen in love at first sight with someone she meets fleetingly in the camp, a young man she knows she will never see again. As the orientation camp draws to a close, her camp boyfriend, the tall, good looking Ejembi, makes it clear that his ultimate intention is to marry her. At her Place of Primary Assignment, her old nemesis, the ever-sophisticated and beautiful Anna from an extremely rich family, who had easily stolen Larepfen's boyfriend while they were in the university, resurfaces. Forced to work together, Larepfen knows she has to devise a way to keep her new man hidden from Anna or she will lose him. Unknown to Larepfen, a new dangerous enemy is lurking in the wings to dish her query after query and ruin her service year. From the Grand Master of twist fiction comes this Love story, the like of which has never been told before.
