Great!!

I loved this book. It was about Dawn's side of their fight. Dawn is right to be mad at Sunnt. She shouldnt have left the stove burning while Carol was in her bed. Carol was pregnant and she could have lost her baby. That was very irresponsible of her. I am siding with Dawn completely. Sunny started that fight. I loved when Carol had her baby. I thought it was sad that they named the baby after Sunnys mom. They named her Elizabeth Grace. Another part I liked was when Sunnys mom held the baby. I hope my review was helpful. I reccomend all the other California Diaries. Especially Amalia and Maggie. (Maggie is my favorie character.) Enjoy this book. Its great!

The California Diaries Series

Ann M. Martin writes great works. The California Diaries Series is an example. Furthermore are suited for teenagers. The stories take place in California with five differentt people. These books tell the problems of average teenagers coping wiith suicide, anorexia, friendship, and many other problems that teens encounter. I recommend these books because teens need to see how fictional characters are like them. Perhaps they could learn from them how to cope with different situations. I have already told you enough. If you want to find out more go and purchase this book or check it out at the library.

Excellent book, one of the best in this series so far.

Wonderful, excellent, this book is great. This reminded me so much of what I went throgh last year, and what I'm going through right now, it felt good to know that most people go through this. I know exactly how it feels for Dawn when she is losing a friend. I would definetly reccomend it to an 8th grade audience. It is a bit sad, but an excellent book.

What a swell diary of a changing life!

Kind of sad and happy at the same time. Dawn's struggling with her conflict with Sunny, who's been acting irresponsibly and has been doing selfish things, then using her mother's illness as an excuse. It would be sad if Dawn and Sunny's friendship ended. Good thing Dawn has Amalia and Maggie standing by her, not to mention her wonderful Connecticut friends and her sweet stepsister. Maybe...just if the BSC gets lucky, Dawn might move back to Stoneybrook for high school!(If she gets really sick of Sunny) I wish she would. The happy part was Dawn being glad to get a new sister. I'm glad that Dawn now has TWO sisters...Grace & dear Mary Anne.

Real

This book, like all the others in the series, rules! And I read about how some of you are complaining about how Dawn is being a brat. I can understand where you're coming from, but be honest with yourself. If this were happening to you wouldn't you be the least bit whiny in your private journal? Anyway, this diary was very realistic. Great job Ann! I personally don't think this was a depressing story. It's just life and if you think this is depressing....Well I hate to see how you're gonna go through life when it hits you hard! No offense or anything to you! I agree life is hard. Back to the book though. I'm getting off track. If you don't already own all of the California Diaries I recommend you get them! Well that's it! The book rockz
