'Cactapopo City' is a sequel to 'Cactapopo Jungle'. In the book Cactapopo Jungle, the animals introduced democratic elections, brought King Lion's poor leadership to an end, and voted in two visionary kings within a span of ten years. In this book, Cactapopo City, the animals vote in a new queen. Under the wise leadership of the queen, Cactapopo Jungle goes through a phase of socio-economic transformation that ushers in the development of sustainable industries and the creation of a city. The public and private sector businesses thrive, giving rise to wealth creation that is unprecedented in the history of the jungle.
A few animals start an explorers' club and venture out to look for investment opportunities abroad. Their ideas are not received well by the leader of Indopoopa Jungle. In the drama that follows, the explorers are bundles out of Indopoopa Jungle. They leave, but carry two hostages with them. When they return three months later, the winds of change are blowing in their favour.
