Amazing...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. I've read it three times through already and can't stop sharing it with friends. I wish that Martha Goldhirsh would write more like this. Great book to curl up with on a lazy saturday...ENJOY!

A fantastic journey through the posturing of real Hollywood

Simply amazing. I was spellbound and couldn't put the book down or stop reading (except when I had to -- like for work). Three cheers, no, make it four cheers for Martha and her work on this 'documentary.' The characters were very believable and very entertaining. A must-read-again for me.

Great! A True Page-Turner!!!

Move over, Jackie Collins! Martha Goldhirsch does a fantastic job capturing the glamour, hysteria, and social scheming of Hollywood. With wonderful characters (some whom you'll recognize), she spins an absorbing and very contemporary tale. Perfect for the beach or curling up with by the fire.

Interesting look at Hollywood wives

Nancy Jane Helena leaves Connecticut for Hollywood where she meets record producer Landon Greene. They fall in love and marry. Eve Carmelina flees Nevada for Los Angeles. She becomes a waitress where she meets film director-writer Fuller Evanston. They fall in love and marry. Gabrielle Gardener likewise meets and marries Joey, whom she loves. The three Hollywood spouses have children and finally meet when their children begin pre-school at Jocelyn Stone's Santa Monica establishment. This starts a friendship between them even as their personal lives drift down different paths. Eve and Fuller remain loyal. Landon begins to cheat and desert Nancy. Gabrielle orchestrates Joey's life. They all have more children as their lives move down separate paths. BUTTERFLIES is an interesting tale about Hollywood wives. The story line is entertaining as readers see behind the lines of movie-makers through their spouses and children. Though at times the tale becomes confusing due to the complex way time passes, the audience will enjoy the various biological-like tales. The protagonists are warm and genuine, which turns into the heart of this character study. Martha Goldhirsh demonstrates she has much talent Readers will appreciate this novel and future stories.Harriet Klausner
