But I'm Your Teacher

This book is well written and if you like boys love stories you should pick this one up. I give it a great review as it has several great storie in it. and I have read it over again several times.Great buy and a Must read book.

Re-readable

I have re-read this book quite a few times. (for the story of course) I thought the art style was very pretty, and the plot wich was pretty much centered around the relationship between the two main characters was still involved in an interesting way. Not to mention the oneshots afterwards. Yoshino Somei writes up a very good oneshot, they were all interesting enough for me to want to read over and over again and wonder after I'm done about how things turned out with the couples involved.

good story

i liked all the stories in that book , so if you like yaoi don't miss this one . It's really great.

Outstanding collection of Yaoi stories!

I love the artwork in Skyscrapers of Oz and am pleased that Kittymedia has translated another Yaoi manga by the same talented mangaka. I prefer my manga to be one stand alone story or of a series but this collection of six short stories is outstanding. They may be short but by no means lacking in terms of plot or Yaoiness and all the characters are appealing. With the exception of the last story, all 5 stories are told from the ukes' points of views and the ukes are endearing, the mangaka giving each uke a fresh identity which I think is not an easy task. I like all 6 stories but the last one the least. The last story is dark and a trifle disturbing because of the rape, one which I will not reread. However I do appreciate the mangaka's effort not to stick to the usual stereotype "happy feel" Yaoi in this last story. Definitely looking forward to "I can't stop loving you" by the same mangaka to be released by Kittymedia in July.

Plenty of heart in smaller servings

I am not usually a fan of manga with many short stories, as I prefer one main storyline. Here, however, I thought it worked well, as each story felt full and interesting. Though there is yaoi in this book, the main draw is the plot and the relationships. Row Takakura has the ability to express both angst and happiness (depending on the story you're reading) in a one shot with ease and skill. Her art is beautiful throughout, very easy to read, very easy on the eyes! The first tale reflects the comic title and involves a teacher who has been seduced by his student. I wasn't sure if I would like the whole teacher-with-student vibe, but found it to be surprisingly cute. (Perhaps because the teacher blushed charmingly throughout.) The story deals with the changes in their relationship. Heartwarming. My second favorite story involved two highschool students whose parents married, making them stepbrothers. Their parents are thrilled that they're starting to get along so well. (if only they knew!) Though the seme is arrogant, both characters were just so considerate of each other that I couldn't help but fall in love with their relationship. Not to spoil the whole book, I'll continue by mentioning that the manga is rounded out by tales which are sugary sweet (the one involving the baby!), hot (the reporter) and angsty (a snippy and jealous character can do that, but I do love snippy characters). Now, the last story in the book was darker, and I admit to being troubled by one of the characters. It involved an older photographer and his young model. Even though it was not my favorite, it was well done and I must appreciate it for the unusual plot development! This book hadn't even been on my radar, as I only found it after reading a review for SkyScrapers of Oz. But, having read both books, I'm going to be adding the next book by Row Takakura to my wish list as well!
