Building Your Spiritual House was born out of my first profession-construction.
For years I learned that if you want a house to stand the test of time, it must be built in the right order, on the right foundation, and through the right process. Skip a step, and even the most beautiful home can become unstable and dysfunctional.
The same is true of our spiritual lives.
Imagine installing a thermostat before running electrical wire or setting a sink on a countertop without first installing the plumbing. From the outside, everything may look complete, but nothing actually works.
Sadly, this is how many followers of Jesus live. They hear the Gospel, surrender their lives to Christ, and stop there. While salvation is the beginning of the journey, it was never meant to be the end. God desires to continue building us into mature disciples who are equipped to fulfill the unique calling He has placed on our lives.
