As an experienced writer and public speaker I thought I knew the ins and outs around communication theory and practice. On the recommendation of an academic friend I read Building Communication Theory. It broadened my awareness of the world I am speaking into.

This book opens the doors to understanding Communication

Building Commnunication Theory gives readers a basic understanding for the communication discpline as a whole. Readers are engaged with the concepts and can relate them to practical use in their everyday lives. Though personally, I am in the communication discpline, this book is great no matter level of communication knowledge you have.

Excellent Text

I had to read this book for a graduate level research course while working on my masters in comm. With a speech comm background, this book is a great book that sums up the speech communication field!
