Grab the box of Kleenex!

I have never cried so much reading a book in my entire life! And I don't simply mean I got a little choked up. I mean tears rolling freely down my face and even a sob here and there. This book was so touching, so sad, so happy, so... everything that pulls a woman's heartstrings. The personalities were so fully formed, the fantasy world and characters so fantastically described, and the plot moved so smoothly I could not put it down. I read it all in one day and was left wishing it went on and on so I could continue to live in the world of beautiful winged beings. I would HIGHLY recommend this book and can't wait to read some more of Lora Leigh, as this was my first. I see she has several books that are a series. I can only hope she'll give us the pleasure of revisiting the winged clans again.

Great Read

For those of you that are fans of Lora Leigh- be surprised. Not the passionalte wonderful sex that you are used to but WOW. what a great read. I dont think I noticed that the sex was tamed down. the book was just so good. I was caught up in the characters and the plight of the bird people. If you havent read it please order it and enjoy. I finished in one night and passed it to my mom who has since read it twice without returning yet. Reese

I ALMOST DIDN'T READ THIS ONE FOR SOME REASON. I AM SO GLAD THAT I FINALLY ORDERED THIS BOOK, AND REGRET THAT IT TOOK ME SO LONG. THIS BOOK IS OUTSTANDING. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID GET YOUR HANDS ON THIS BOOK NOW. I CANNOT DO ANY JUSTICE IN TRYING TO HIGHLIGHT ANY CERTAIN PARTS, ITS A STORY OF SO FULL OF EMOTIONS THAT YES AT TIMES YOU WILL CRY FOR THE LOSSES,YOU WILL FEEL THEIR FEAR , THEIR HATE. ITS A STORY OF WAR AND UNREST AND LIES. AND LOVE, BUT ALSO ABOUT FORGIVENESS. MISS LEIGH IS SUCH A TALENTED AUTHOR, HER CHARACTERS COME TO LIFE IN SUCH A WAY THAT YOU FEEL YOU ARE RIGHT THERE AS IT UNFOLDS. COME ON TAKE TO THE SKIES WITH THESE BRAUTIFUL CREATURES YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Awesome ... story

This book is so intense, that there were times when I was crying with all the emotions of the story.... usually it is only movies that have this capability for me. Lora Leigh shines out in this story as a TRUE story teller! The kind that will bring out all of your emotions as she wraps them around her fingers. And WITHOUT any explicit sex scenes. WOW!!!!

WOW!!!

The author really made great novel. I thought at first that this book was only focused on Dearn and Matte, but the secondary characters came alive for me. The story captured my interest and is a great read (finished it in one sitting), a little bit bruttal though as every novel with a war in it. Quite a few matches are made in this book, and lacks the usual sex scenes in a novel but well worth the time and money. I'm waiting to pounce on the next book on this series.
