This publication is inspired by the quiet battles of a young teen & the weight she is forced to learn to carry as she moves through difficult times. Within these pages, it's transformed into a telling of a fairy who goes through moments of pain, confusion, & survival. These themes are woven carefully into poetry that tries to give shape & description to feelings too heavy to name. Every piece is written with intention, carrying deep emotion that is not intended to overwhelm, but to show rawness, openness & honesty.

This book exists with the intention to reach teens who are hurting, struggling, lost, or drowning in thoughts they don't wish to share. Broken Wings was meant to be something others can hold onto-a small beacon sounding & shining through the darkness-a comforting reminder that someone else has stood where you stand now. Someone is in your corner, even when you can only feel the loneliness. Also, if you look closely, hope is still there, dancing quietly between the lines.
