Broke Baroque

By Tony Medina and Tony Medina

BROKE BAROQUE is the third installment in the Broke Books series by acclaimed poet Tony Medina, who captures Broke's chaotic experiences on the streets of AnyCity, USA. With a keen sense of humor and a sharp critique, Medina's iconic character, Broke, observes the struggles of homelessness from his curbside perch, challenging the capitalist system and its numerous societal contradictions. Through a mix of tall tales, anecdotes, rants, and humor, Medina expresses Broke's anger, fear, humility, and determination, highlighting his marginalization in a harsh society. Both amusing and incisive, whimsical yet passionate, BROKE BAROQUE is a finalist for the Julie Suk Award for Best Poetry Book from an Independent Press, making it a must-read for fans of both fiction and poetry.
