Hearing the word cancer is the most terrifying experience in life. I remember after my diagnosis, I just wanted to speak with someone who has been through it, and being able to do that was such a help and encouragement to me. Knowing what to expect allayed much of my fears. I decided to put my personal journey with cancer into print with the hope that someone going through that dreadful diagnosis or a friend or relative can find comfort and some helpful insight as to what lies ahead. Although all treatments and outcomes are not the same, however, it is always good to hear a personal success story, and that encourages hope, and "hope does not disappoint" (Romans 5:5).
