I remember reading this book years ago and and I enjoy reading it very much . I love the characters and their story they are telling me.

WONDERFUL - NATIVE AMERICAN - LENAPE TRIBE

Gage Dalton was of the Lenape tribe of the Delaware Indians - he is grieving and emotionally dead. He has a ranch where he raises Pinto horses and keeps to himself. Jenna Butler, 26 is a white woman who wants to claim her sister, Amy's six month old daughter, Lily. The trouble is that Lily is half Lenape. Her father is the Native American artist, David Collins. Amy and David lived on the Broken Bow rez. They are now deceased. On the way to Broken Bow, Jenna saves Gage from a horrific accident and now Gage owes Jenna a Life Gift. After two months of dragging out meetings with the Elders and becoming frustrated, Jenna approaches Gage with a proposition of marriage. Gage is not ready for marriage of any kind but he does know that it is his grandfather, Chee'pai who refuses to turn the child over to Jenna. We learn of the troubles that Jenna must overcome and of the strange attraction she feels for Gage. And of Gage's life on the ranch and how he deals with Jenna and Lily. This is a heart-warming story - little tidbits of information about the Lenape and their feelings of family - intense attraction that brooks no denial.
