Body of Truth has taken over!

Body of Truth by Deirdre Savoy is a daring and risque novel that takes place in the heart of the South Bronx. The author masters a romantic urban tale with a twist of suspense along with vivid imagery, authenticity and special attention to careful details, places and events fans and new fans of Savoy's novels are sure to enjoy. Dana Malloy is a nurse who has discovered the death of a teenager. Her compassion and determination to find out who killed the teenager leads someone mysterious, perhaps the murderer, to come after her. She soon meets a detective, Jonathan Stone. However, someone is now trying to kill Dana since her quest to seek answers about the dead teenager. Jonathan may be the only person to save her or will he? The killer is someone readers would never expect, and one cannot help to think that a series of people within the story could be the culprit. Body of Truth is an exciting thrill ride to the very end. I found myself drawn to the fine details on every single page. I felt like I was reliving the perils of the South Bronx when abandoned buildings were more prevalent before renovation in the early 2000's and as a former employee of a school in the area. Savoy has infused a touch of urban perils with romance; thus creating a cocktail for success that best showcases Savoy's forever evolving writing style that has blossomed into one of the "SAVOYIST" writers of all time, a term that should be synonymous for excellence.Body of Truth is a smart and intelligent read filled with mystery, romance and an excellent plot making for a page turner the literary industry and booklovers had better take note. Dana Malloy is a nurse who makes home visits in the tough South Bronx, one day, she unwittingley witnesses what turns out to be a murder victim's last moments. While checking on patient, she is the victim of what appears to be a drive-by shooting, where she is shot and someone is killed. Dana quickly finds out all is not what is appears to be. Dectective Jonathan Stone is investigating the murder of Amanda Pierce.....the woman that Dana saw. When Dana comes forth with information about what's she seen, he doesn't think much about it until an attempt is made on her life. Feeling the need to protect Dana, Jonathan takes her to a safe location but he doesn't count on them giving in to their attraction and falling in love. Body of Truth is more than a romance, it is also a mystery filled with suspense as the truth leads to unexpected and shocking results. This book will keep you guessing until the very end. Dana Molloy, a nurse in South Bronx, has had no room in her life for love. Throughout much of her adult life, she has always sacrificed her happiness to care for others. First, her mother was diagnosed with a terminal disease, then she cared for her brother after her mother's death. On the eve of a much-deserved vacation, a drive-by shooting leaves her wounded and a teenager dead. When police officials ignore the crimes, Dana decides to take matters in her own hands which lead her to Bronx homicide detective Jonathan Stone. Although he is the last type of man Dana wants to fall for, she soon finds that she is falling fast and hard for Jonathan. Despite her intentions to distance herself from him emotionally, she feels the pull of an attraction that she can no longer deny. Jonathan is one of New York's finest. He is committed to his job and doesn't have time for women and the baggage that comes with getting emotionally involved with them. None of the women in his life have lasted more than a couple of months and Jonathan likes it that way. That is until he interacts with Dana. As Jonathan investigates the crimes, he realizes that there is much more to Dana than meets the eye. Soon the passion ignites and Jonathan finds himself wanting to do more than "serve and protect" her. As the sins of the past and the sordidness of the present collide on the mean streets, will the path before Dana lead to Jonathan's arms or to the hands of a killer? Deirdre Savoy has delivered a wonderful book with an excellent storyline, great characters and passionate love scenes. BODY OF TRUTH is a page-turner that offers the perfect blend of suspense and romance. It is a "must read" that will leave readers wanting more. Suspense, Secrets and Love.....

Ms. Savoy, known for her sparkling romance novels, has stepped into the world of mystery writing. Body of Truth is a story that delivers a story of secrets,love and suspense. We are introduced to Dana, dedicated nurse and surrogate mother to her younger brother Wesley. She goes about her day-to-day routine of visiting her various patients until one eventful day when she is the unsuspecting witness to the murder of one of her patients grandson. This unfortunate event sends Dana on a whirlwind, turning her life upside down. Much to her chagrin, the investigating detective is Jonathan Stone, who happens to be her best friends brother. Thrown together in the most unconventional way, a mystery begins to unfold. Much kudos to Ms. Savoy for introducing her legion of fans to her talent of not only writing romance but mystery as well. Never one to disappoint, Body of Truth keeps you riveted to every page clamoring for more. Bravo!

Friends, Truth, & Death

Deirdre Savoy writes an interesting story of three friends, a twenty five year old secret, a woman with an agenda, and a nurse with hope in her heart. Dana Mallory was a woman with a concise while she didn't have a whole lot of compassion but when it comes to loving a man she isn't sure she can do it but when love finds her she has no other option but to respond to it and figure out what she wants before love walks away from her. Jonathan Stone was never the one to really be the ace of the family when it came to relationships many of his female friends believe he was married to his job and therefore left no time for them. When he met Dana through his sister Joanna he always thought she didn't like him but when he finds himself mix up in a case involving her then he finds himself directly link with Dana and the sparks fly before he can attempt to figure out what to do with himself. Three different people, a pact, and a death. Each person has a occupation of great level and when you mix the promises that the three will never tell about the death that sits on their minds for the rest of their lives but when a little lady decides to figure out what happens to the man that dies twenty five years back they find their selves going back to their old ways to make sure that they will maintain their freedom and the lifestyles that they have become accustom to. With an investigation going on and the truth near the surface everyone is at the edge of their seats trying to maintain life itself. Deirdre adds in a little bit of romance along with the mystery to make the book a really hot and steamy read.
