First grade teacher rates this as a good reader

Years ago I was on a team that reviewed this wonderful series of readers for young children in grade one. We were so impressed with the workbooks and the text found in the Laidlaw series.I still use this book with my first grade children. They love the content of the stories and when the workbook was available, it was excellent-had few directions (not wordy) and was child friendly. I would highly suggest this series of books for young readers.
