Poignant and moving

Heaven's blue tent is an evocative tail of the turmoil caused by the turbulence of war and it's aftermath. This emotional saga follows the trials and tribulations of an extended family during the partioning of Berlin, it would be a very good read for someone who wants to know about the beginning of the Cold war but doesn't want to read about all of the politics in great detail
