A New York Times Bestselling AuthorHillary Baxter was only twenty-one when she left rural Kansas to pursue a New York modeling career. When Bret Bardoff, owner and publisher of fashionable Mode... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I have read this book numerous of times. I love it,as I do all her books. The emotions of the model is so explicted. The family, land and nature. I really feel for her but at the same time I would like to have shook her into reality. Of course the rich man was infatuated with her, her beauty, intelligence, etc. I have three questions I would loved to know the answer to that wasn't in the book. One is how did the model get back to NY from the lodge after having a run-in with both Bret and Charlene? My other question is did Charlene come to the wedding? And I would also like to know how or from whom Bret was finding out where Hillary was at the disco, etc.? Maybe Nora will write a sequel.

This is a sweet, simple story about Hillary Baxter, a New York model with small-town values and Bret Bardoff, the magazine owner who hires her for a fashion photography project. I enjoyed it more than the other reviewer apparently; it's a nice book to curl up with on a rainy afternoon. Excerpt from the back of the book:"Model Hillary Baxter was every photographer's delight! In front of the camera, her perfected loveliness allowed her to be anyone she wanted to be. Yet behind the high-fashion trappings, she was simply a small-town girl-and certainly no match for her new boss, Bret Bardoff! Could he learn to love the woman whose face had captured his imagination...and haunted his dreams?"
