"Children will easily recognize the deep bond between the child and the beloved object . . . this offers a warm, comforting view of a toddler's daily world." -- Booklist Anyone who's spent time with a toddler knows that few crises compare with the (even temporary) loss of a favorite blankie. Here, in her humorous, bold graphic style, Leslie Patricelli plays up this scenario, surely near and dear to every toddler's heart. It's an affectionate ode to that special object that comforts many a child through the dramas of each day. Now available in a dual Spanish-English edition Conoce a Mantita, la mejor compa era que un ni o puede tener.
I gave this book to my 6'3" son on his 17th birthday! Everything in it reminded us of his younger years, carrying that blanket around until he was in puberty. Now he has his "pillow" which he carries all around the house, with a special ratty pillow case. He just can't wrap it around his neck and play super hero any longer. What a sweet book to remind us of an even sweeter time.

My 2 year old is really into all of Leslie Patricelli's books right now. The little baby/toddler character is right on with my son's actions & thinking. The books are really cute. This one is his favorite right now. We read it about five times a day.

This is my one year old's favorite book. She laughs out loud every time she see's "Super Blankie". The artwork is simple and sweet, while the story captures the true pleasures of a security object. It is a daily read (multiple times) and is always accompanied by her "blankie".

I am 29 years old and I still sleep with my blankie. This book is great -- it captures all the emotions I remember from growing up with a blankie that never left my side. If your baby has a blanky or if you used to (or you still do), read this book. It's priceless!
I love this toddler!

I come to this as a big fan of Leslie Patricelli's first three books. The reader is treated to more hilarious illustrations which are accompanied by a really sweet story about attachment to a blankie. I read this to my 7 mth old and look forward to more from this author.
