Blackbird's song greets the Sun every morning and protects the people of his kingdom by keeping Fear banished. However one day his people wake up and the Sun has not risen and their king is gone. What will Blackbird's people do to help their king? This illustrated story explores the value of community and the importance of friendship and hope in helping us move out of places of fear.

Written during Covid on the author's balcony, the story draws inspiration from a little blackbird who sat on the roof across the street every morning and evening, without fail, to sing towards the sun.
