Following years of living in exile in Mexico, a pair of Moor Scholars travelled all the way from Africa to the United States of America, to negotiate the Cherokee's return to their homeland. Although the Indians lived comfortably in their new country, being away from their ancestors took its tole on the natives. As wanted American fugitives, the Cherokee tribe had to constantly guard themselves against bounty hunters, who sought to collect the rewards for their capture. News of their reinstatement was brought by an American general, who was also instructed to escort the natives back onto their reservation. Despite their years of absence from their homeland, the ugly venom of racism quickly unveiled itself, wherein it was discovered that a few of their cavalry escorts, were children of some of the bigots they had killed to achieve their freedom.
