Based on the “Women of the Otherworld” book series by author Kelley Armstrong.
Just another scruffy wolf series. It is more of a hairy soap opera. It starts by introducing most of the main characters; this includes the good wolfies and those who have no clue as to what is going on.
Elena Michaels (Laura Vandervoort) wants to give up her evil ways. However, she will soon have to be the top wolf in a way between two different gangs… oops, packs. So much for a turn on a friendly card.
There is a lot of crummy background music that has no meaning. Speaking about backs, we only see Elena from the back side when changing her nature. So, no shots of hairy chests.
There is no excessive blood and guts, but if there were, we could not tell because someone forgot to pay the light bill, and it is always too dark to tell what is happening, even in the action scenes.
I guess if there can be wolfies, we can also toss in telekinesis. As they say, “You can telekinesis, but will she listen?” What else can we throw in before the series is over?
It will be nice not to hear any more piano tinkling as they wrapped up all the loose ends and still left a little room to squeak a fourth season in. (fat chance)
