Young idealist Morgan Fielding is convinced that his invention, which could digitize people and place them in cyberspace, will improve things. However, Morgan is mysteriously digitized into his computer following a sequence of horrific circumstances, including the passing of his parents, bullying, verbal abuse, physical abuse, incarceration, etc. that ultimately lead to his death. Morgan finally escapes his digital prison after a number of years and learns that he has been digitally recoded. Morgan resolves to inflict horrific vengeance on all of his adversaries using his new skills, but when he battles Damon, another recoded program from Cyberspace, he must realize that vengeance does not bring about solutions to grief.
