Meet Big Wolf and Little Wolf. Right now they are singing a funny bedtime song because it is almost time for Little Wolf to go to sleep. But wait... What was that? Did you hear something? This description may be from another edition of this product.
We checked this book out of the local library, and my son has loves it! He laughs at the song the Big Wolf sings to his Little Wolf, especially when he talks about smelling his feet and wearing his old nightshirt. The surprise at the end is great, too. It's a wonderful rhyming book - perfect for preschoolers and early elementary age kids.
A must have for my 3 year old!

My just turned 3 year old was given a check for books and I asked which of his favorite library books would he like to own. This one was one of the ones he wanted. Regarding the tune with which to sing the songs, the tune of This Old Man fits perfectly with all the songs the wolves sings. My son loves the songs, and also the suspense in some of the pages where I will surprise him with a tickle.
Definitely a keeper

I found this treasure at the library originally. My 2 year-old son loved it so much, I'm getting it for Christmas. It's fun and sweet. You make up your own tune to go with the wolf's lyrics. And, of course, at the end you Hoowwwwllll!!!
Fun and laughs!

Although when Little Wolf and Big Wolf hear something in the bushes, there is a moment of pause, and potentially fright, but my son (3 1/2) thought it was just right. He was curious, and definitely wanted to know who was in the bushes, but when he found out it was Momma Wolf he laughed harder than he does with almost any other book. When I first read this on my own, I didn't think it was that impressive, but when I read it out loud to my son, I realized just how much fun this is for kids. I watched him laugh playfully at the songs, and get quiet when SOMETHING WAS IN THE BUSHES. He laughs each time we read this, which is worth every penny of the book!
Makes you want to grab a child and sing it to them!

The loving banter between parent and child is presented perfectly in this lovely book. A great read-aloud, the text invites the reader to break into song with the wolf family. Perfect for a new or soon-to-be father.
