Ten reasons to hate Michael Bywater

1. He's very, very smart. 2. He writes really well. 3. He's witty/funny/hilarious. 4. He's so right. 5. My dog liked him, and my dog didn't even really like me. 6. The indexes in his books are worth reading, even if you don't read the book, because they're so entertaining in themselves. 7. He wrote the indexes to his books himself. 8. His books are less expensive than psychotherapy, and they really help you deal with the modern world. 9. Big Babies is refreshingly insightful -- you'll find yourself saying "YESSS!!!" as you read it. 10. Read his books and find your own reasons to despise/envy this talented, amusing, intelligent and handsome fellow.
