The power of now is ultimately misleading as the power of now is still within the realm of thought as time and still within the realm of the psychological entity which is the self. In the now the self is still there and is still running the show and it is the self that is causing the problem of duality, division, self-conflict, pain and suffering.Freedom from the self is freedom from pain and suffering. Freedom from the self is found in transcendence of the self which is transcendence of thought as time. Whether that is thought as time in the past, in the now or in the future is completely irrelevant because no matter what, thought as time must be transcended which means that even if the power of now did exist, it wouldn't be able to help you.If there is no transcendence of thought as time which means transcendence of thought thinking in terms of time there can be no freedom.Spirituality has never been about being in the moment, it has always been about transcending the moment. Spirituality is about enlightenment and there is no enlightenment within the realm of thought as time and there never was. Enlightenment is all about the stillness and the silence of the mind in which there is no thought as time. Stillness and silence is found in awareness, attention and meditation and if the meditation is guided by thought then there is no meditation...
