Book Overview

Ted Alteman, a wealthy lawyer, is found dead in a San Francisco hotel room, sparking an investigation led by police captain Mercedes Herrera and her subordinate Dave Good. They discover Ted was murdered as part of a complex conspiracy. The mastermind could be either a Russian oligarch or an enigmatic woman known as the Queen. Seeking answers, the police turn to Mexican drug lord Pablito Mendoza, who reveals insights beyond human comprehension.
