Beautiful storytelling; captivating read

This is one of those books you offhandedly pick up and immediately get sucked into. I think I fully dissociated and just razed through this before returning to reality and realizing that I am not, in fact, an immigrant family in Belgium learning to define home and belonging in different ways. Unigwe's writing style is universally enjoyable yet confrontational in a way that challenges readers to grow alongside the recurring characters of this collection of stories. I recommend this to anyone who has ever struggled to fit in, to find themselves among others, or to define themselves in relation to others.
