My dearest friend…

This is more about the girl I knew and less about the book… June 14, 2003 is forever seared in my mind. It was the day I would learn a truly wonderful human, and one of my dearest friends throughout school was dead! I had JUST emailed Tabby (as we all affectionately called her) 6 DAYS before she was killed! I still believe to this day it was my heart and subconscience reaching out to her, in some small way, and I couldn’t save her. She told me she had filed for divorce. She was moving out. I apologized and told her if there was ANYTHING she needed please do not hesitate to get in touch! I sat motionless at my computer, reading the words no one should have to read; an email from her sister, Sam saying how Tabby has left this earth to be her lord and savor. It still numbs me to my core! I still remember shaking Kevin’s hand at Tabby’s funeral. The smug smile he had on his face(thinking he got away with it). The FREEZING COLD CHILL that traveled down my spine. I gripped his hand so tight, looked him in his eyes and told him, “You won’t get away with this!” The shock on his face, he turned pale white!! I knew! When I learned there had been a book written about Tabby’s last hours of life, speculations about prostitutes, strip clubs and more I was shocked! It took me YEARS to actual order the book. The details are just to graphic for me to read. It’s different, reading something so raw and true and disturbing about someone you knew, someone you loved! The flood of memories I have of Tabby can NEVER be taken from me. And I’m not sure I will ever bring myself to read the book. It sits on my shelf. My children know about Tabby and how she was taken from all of us. I will FOREVER cherish and love her and NEVER let her memory die!! She was truly an Angel from God!!

I picked this book up one night and could not put it down until I was finished. Credit to the genre.

Fantastic detail, a good read, and a story line that will haunt you forever. It does not get much better than this.

Great Book!

This is a great book, although a very sad and disturbing story. Michael Benson is one of the best true crime authors today. I recommend this book to everyone who is interested in true crime dramas.
