This isn't a "how to" book.. it's a picture book of examples of well designed pieces. It's great to flip through when you need a little inspiration. I find it quite useful - although I was disappointed that most of the work is dated 1996, 97, or 98 - especially for a book that is the best brochure design 2000. Rockport rocks

I have purchased a number in the "Best of" series that Rockport publishes for brochures and logos, and the latest in the brochure series will be a useful addition to any graphic designer's library. Number 5 in the brochure series shows great diversity in types and styles of fairly recent brochures. I find it helpful that Rockport divides the book up into sections that highlight specific types of brochures - i.e. service, institutional, product, etc. - so that I can look for trends within certain categories. A good source for ideas, and a way to see what is happening now in design across the country.
