Not Just For The Bereaved

Although someone close to me has a terminal illness, I hesitated to begin reading this book. To my surprise, once I picked it up I had difficulty putting it down, reading 65 pages in the first sitting. Those who have dreamed of departed loved ones and have felt the reality of these dreams will receive validation from Grubbs' education, research and personal experience. Those with an interest in dream interpretation and as spiritual practice will also receive valuable instruction and guidance. This book is an absorbing read and one of the most important books published on this topic.

Out of Chaos.....

This is a wonderful book for the person trying to find their way through the maelstrom of emotion following the death of a loved one. Everyone who has experienced the helplessness, guilt, bewilderment, and anguish inherent in the condition knows how difficult it is to find purpose or meaning in the suffering; this in spite of the well-meaning attempts of outsiders to give comfort.Dr. Grubbs work enables the bereaved person to begin to understand the process and work actively to emerge more whole and complete. Her use of the story of Gilgamesh and her use of ancient Egyptian story and symbol are especially beautiful (and useful).

A Very Consoling Book

This is a very consoling book. I have been graced with important dreams about three loved ones who died over the last ten years and this book helped me to understand why I had those dreams and what those dreams meant. Although the dreams themselves were very consoling, I wish that I had had this book a lot sooner so that I could have had the dreams validated soon after I had them. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in dreams and anyone who has lost a loved one and has any doubts about what happened to that loved one after they passed on.

A primer on accepting the wholeness of life to include death, a fascinating subject that I have no knowledge of- though perhaps understanding- now. Obviously meant for those who have experienced loss but not limited to only they. I'm looking forward to reading more from her.
