Before the Mirrors Started Watching: Stolen Identity, Buried Memories, and a Deadly Reflection
She inherited a house full of mirrors-and thirty nights to discover which reflection is lying.
Book illustrator Lena Vale has spent twenty-four years avoiding mirrors and the memories trapped behind them. She remembers almost nothing about the childhood fire that killed her identical twin, Clara. She only knows that looking back has never felt safe.
When her estranged mother dies under suspicious circumstances, Lena inherits Blackthorn House on one condition: she must remain inside the isolated mansion for thirty consecutive nights.
Then the reflections begin changing.
A woman in the glass moves seven seconds too late. Muddy footprints appear without entering the house. A child who looks exactly like Clara watches Lena from empty hallways. Hidden behind the mirrors, Lena discovers observation passages, surveillance equipment and disturbing records of an experiment designed to erase the difference between identical twins.
Her husband, Adrian, insists that grief is distorting her mind. But he knows more about Blackthorn House than he admits-and someone has been photographing Lena through reflective surfaces for years.
As her memories return, Lena must uncover what happened on the night of the fire before the house forces her to face an unbearable possibility:
Perhaps Clara never truly disappeared.
And perhaps Lena Vale is not the woman she believes herself to be.
Before the Mirrors Started Watching is a chilling psychological thriller of stolen identity, buried memories, sinister experiments and supernatural reflections that refuse to stay silent.
If you enjoy atmospheric suspense, unreliable memories, isolated mansions and shocking final twists, buy your copy today-and remember: never look into the mirror for too long.
