Becoming More United

By Sara Fullerton and Anne Bosarge

As disciples of Jesus, we are to become like our Master, Jesus. We are to not only do what He did, but think like He thought, and live like He lived. That is what a disciple of Jesus is, someone who is becoming more like Jesus. What if, in our sin-sick culture of division, we, who are His disciples, become the answer to His unity prayer, "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you." (John 17:21) Just as beautiful colors, shapes, and textures of glass create one beautiful masterpiece in a stained-glass window, so the church, in all its diversity, is joined in a beautiful work of art. Imagine what the world would be like if we all became more united!
