This is a fabulous fast read, packed with excellent advice and real world examples. The author was able to put words to truths that now stick with me in life. I especially liked the chapter on Perspective vs. Hysteria. I know too many people that are in "Full Catastrophe mode" and find myself straying there too, as if it's normal. The concept of Imperturbable calm energy being a wellspring that we can draw upon in any experience is not unknown to me, but the author brings forth the simple things we can do to manifest it in our daily life. The author uses many of my favorite sources including Jon Kabat-Zinn and Vikter Frankl, and adds his own words of wisdom. This book will live on my nightstand so I can read excerpts for daily encouragement.
Rules to live by, no matter who you are

This book offers a look at eight guiding principles, with explanations and sub-principles (for lack of a better word) within each one. There isn't a person alive who couldn't benefit from reading this book, in my opinion, with the right mix between personalization - stories and comments from the author's own life - and an insight into both human nature and the nature of success from a neutral standpoint that I have not seen in many people. In addition, he tells the story of a different "unstoppable" person whom you know or should know in each chapter. I know right now, there are several things I'm choosing to work on from the get-go, like ICE (read the book to find out what this acronym stands for), and I actually plan to carry this book with me for a while as a visual reminder. However I was also surprised while reading, when I realized he was also saying, "hey, you're doing these things right." There will be aspects of "becoming unstoppable" that you are very good at and do naturally already, and others that will require some effort to change. That is how it should be. Thank you, Mr. Witt, for offering such a real, honest, and applies-to-everyone account of making the best of ourselves and our lives.
A man who lives what he writes

Great people seem to be able to say with few words truth that we recognize instantly when we see it. In "Becoming Unstoppable" we have a teacher who clearly lives what he writes. Someone rooted in life, someone who has suffered, but bounces back. This book may be inexpensive, but the advice within priceless. Not the kind of advice of the heavenly minded (to be of no earthly good). My opinion of Lee Witt and his writing is that good guys do finish first and "Become Unstoppable" is leading the way
