The Artistic Genius of a West Philadelphia African American female resident and Cheyney art instruct

Laura Wheeler Wearing was a brilliant artist since she was a young child. The author does a wonderful job of showcasing the genius of the late Mrs. Wearing, what inspired her, what she loved the most about her African heritage, culture and history and the need to showcase those art images in her artwork. This book should be taught in the school system, available in libraries, read at book clubs and in the homes to share with families, friends and neighbors ❤️.
