B.C. Street

In B.C. Street, E. A. Cooper gives the reader a vivid and realistic view of GI life on Okinawa in the early 1960s--it's all there: the sights, sounds, smells, and action. Having been stationed there at the time, I am amazed at his uncanny recall of so many details from that era. In my opinion, Cooper deftly combined his personal experiences with historical record. In so doing, he created a real page-turner with surprising relevance to today's global/political climate.

Superb!

Reading Ed Cooper's BC Street was like getting into a time capsule and going back to those days when I was a 20 year old doing a two year tour on Okinawa. Mr. Cooper managed to capture the essence of what Okinawa was back then, and included a romantic tale that could have been the story of almost any G.I. that served there. Hale to those glory days of yesteryear, thanks for the memories Ed.

B. C. Street

Having served on Okinawa in 1958 and 1959 with India 3/3 at Camp Bishagawa, near Kadena Circle; and with Hotel 2/3 at old Camp Kinser, near B. C. Street, I can tell you this book is the "Real Deal". The Okinawa we knew is gone. I had long thought of trying to go back, but business trips to Japan, China and Taiwan convinced me that even if I could have fit in a side trip to Okinawa, that place and those experiences are now only in our memory. I can assure you this book will trigger all the brain cells. E. A. Cooper has amazing recall that brings it all back to life and I give the book 5 Stars or a 10! Corporal R. L. BC Street

If you were ever stationed on Okinawa as a member of the Armed Forces, you will enjoy the book. It will bring back memories of the old days.

BC Street

BC Street, although fiction, this story is so true to real life at the time, that it could be considered non fiction. This story could not have been written by anyone who had not been stationed on Okinawa in the 60's. An easy read, the reader will feel like a fly on on a wall watching as the story is told.
