Basil is rich in history, benefits, lore, and magic. It is from the Greek meaning king or royal.One of the smartest things I did was buy a whole basil plant at the market... snip leaves from the top, put water in the saucer when soil needs to be moist and there's basil all the time. There's nothing like it, in fact I like and use it so much I named a book after it.
