My son liked it better than pancakes!

My 8th grade son delayed coming to the table for chocolate chip pancakes, his absolute favorite, because he was engrossed in "Barb and Dingbat's Crybaby Hotline." And I usually have to beg to get him to read! This book is LOL funny but packs an emotional punch, too. The clever structure -- it's all dialog -- gives it plenty of momentum. Just ask my son, who wolfed the pancakes, then went back to the sofa to finish the book. Thank you, Patrick Jennings!
