But when hacked-up bodies surrounded by crickets begin to pop up with annoying regularity--something neither his editor nor the local PD seem all that concerned about--Ty is forced to climb off his barstool and begin an investigation of his own. In pursuit of the truth, Ty enlists Evan's dubious help. Using their questionable investigative skills, the pair discover the axe murders are just the opening salvo of something more sinister, and the town hurtles towards a Halloween it will never forget.
