The Backwater Remembers

By Husna

As the echoes of Christmas bells faded, a body was found in the backwaters near St Joseph's Boarding School.

The case was never solved.

For nearly two decades, the mist-laden hills of Vagamon and the backwaters of Fort Kochi have guarded the silence surrounding that night.

A traumatized boy. A disgraced retired inspector. A seminary shrouded in secrets. A priest's cryptic journal.
When Krishna Iyer returns to Kerala after the death of his parents, he finds himself drawn back into the darkness he thought he had escaped. What begins as a search for closure soon unravels a world of buried crimes, fractured memories and men willing to do anything to keep the past from resurfacing.

In a world where faith, power and guilt intertwine, every revelation comes at a cost. Because some places remember everything. And some secrets were never meant to surface.
