Beginning as a plant supervisor, later advancing to Director of Human Resources, and eventually serving as Director of Artist Relations, he witnessed the company from both the manufacturing floor and the artist-facing side of the business.

During his time as Director of Artist Relations, Aldworth worked closely with some of the most legendary guitarists and bands in the world, including The Rolling Stones, The Who, Steve Howe, Bill Monroe, Chet Atkins, and Les Paul. The book also features interviews with notable musicians such as Billy Gibbons, Nancy Wilson, Ted Nugent, Rudolf Schenker, and John McLaughlin.

Complementing these stories are numerous photographs taken by Aldworth himself, both inside the Gibson plant and at concerts, offering readers a rare visual glimpse into a remarkable era in music history.
