Perfect for toddlers!

I finally found the nativity story/book that kept my daughter's interest from start to end ( & still going...). Very toddler-friendly, it's made of hard pages, cut-outs & colorful pictures for our toddlers' increasing curiosity, continuous probing & investigating hands. The story is very interesting & an easy read because it is presented through short rhyming lines. Moreover, with the lock at the side, toddlers are somehow taught to be neat & orderly by closing the book properly before putting away for filing. Finally, with the handle at the other side, our little angels can carry this book wherever they go.A truly nice way to introduce our kids to Christ's birth story & keep them continously interested in His life.

Baby's First Nativity

This a very colorful and wonderfully illustrated childrens book. It tells the story of Jesus' birth in a rhyming way that keeps my son interested. I purchased the book for my 1.5 yr old son at Christmas time and 4 months later he is still carrying it around by the handle every where we go. He loves to hear the story of Jesus' birth over and over, and now one of the first words that he has learned to say is "Jesus". I am pleased that I bought this book and next I will purchase either "Baby's First Bible" or "Baby's First Catholic Bible" to add to our reading selection.

Our son liked it much more than I though he would!

Our almost 2 year-old loved the handle and clasp used to close the book. He carries it around all the time. I read a lot of baby/toddler books about the Christmas story and this was the one I settled on. The natural rhymes and simple pictures work well for toddlers. I especially like that the story presents the wise men arriving LATER when baby Jesus is living in a cottage, not a babe in the manger. The is one book we'll read for years to come! (It's January and he still asks for it nightly....)
