BEST book I have found for teaching basic sign language to your baby!

This book is amazing. It is very well written, easy to understand and there are helpful graphics to go with each sign. I like how the book is sectioned out into the types of signs, such as basic needs (our favourite). I cannot explain just how awesome it has been to communicate with our infant. My daughter started signing "milk" at 7 months, and "more" and "all done" a few weeks and a month later, respectively. Thank you, Monica, for providing this incredible resource for families. Because of the signs we have taught her, my daughter never, ever has to cry to tell us what she needs.
Nice place to start......

Easy to read. Clear illustrations showing how to do signs. Everything you need to get started signing with your baby. Includes answers to many questions you may have concerning signing with your baby, suggestions as to how and when to introduce certain signs, some of the authors personal experiences with her own children, and a list of other resources as well. I would most definately reccomend this book to those that have little to no experience in signing that are interested in doing so with their little one.
Very happy to have found this book!

This book is very easily understood and a great book for beginners or beyond. The pictures make sense and are easy to follow. The author's personal stories show that teaching a baby to sign can be easily done, and once started, there is no end to what can be learned. I have also found it helpful when coming upon hearing impaired people at a gathering or at the mall. It is so much easier to communicate with a person rather than just walking on by. The author writing style is smooth, interesting and a boon to beginning baby signers!
* Fantastic, Helpful, Encouraging *

I got this month for my four month old and we're showing her the signs early. It's great though because even though she's a little too young to fully learn signs,she LOVES the book! Something about the pictures and the way it's put together,she adores looking at it! I've seen alot of signing books on the market and this one by far takes the cake. It's concise,gives you the information you want without filler that you don't need.And it's easy! Honestly,I'm so fumbly I was afraid I'd be teaching them all wrong but with notes on how to do it correctly,common mistakes and pictures of each movement,you can't mess up! It's wonderful really,VERY recommended!!! -Megan Melvage

This book is perfect for learning those basic signs needed to communicate with your baby (eat, more, all done) as well as fun signs for later development. (monkey, boat) The format is very user friendly, not bogged down with a bunch of detailed descriptions- signing instructions easy to interpret. Great first signing book for babies! My husband enjoys reading it as well!
